And my new Substack publication is live! At the end of last month and beginning of this month, I read James by Percival Everett. I loved it so much, so I collected all the thoughts I had while I read it. The highs, the lows, the “WTF?!?!” moments — all in one place! If this is something you might be interested in, feel free to check it out: I’m Reading ‘James’ by Percival Everett.

While I do plan to include more posts like this, I have plans to make This Is What I’m Reading a place where I can talk about all things book related. I want to share thoughts on what I’m reading, opinion pieces on topics regarding books, book themes, etc. Does it have to do with a book? Good. It has a high chance of showing up on my substack. So subscribe if you’d like to keep up with my on going conversations about books!

Another fun announcement: I’ve opened a second Substack called This Is What I’m Reading where I’ll be sharing a compilation of my real-time thoughts as I make my way through my never-ending TBR. If this is the sort of thing you’re into, I invite you to join me and subscribe for your dose of overanalysis, rambling, and ranting — most definitely ranting! I’m working through James by Percival Everett, and I plan on making my first post based on this novel!

You can find my new Substack HERE. First post to come soon!

With everything that’s going on in the world right now, I just want to make a quick statement. My editorial business is a safe space for marginalized communities. LGBTQ+ people, BIPOC, and anyone who feels oppressed in our current p0l*t*kl climate is welcome here. Now more than ever I’m willing to help give a voice to those who have been forced into silence and to those whose identities have been denied.

Something my old choir teacher used to say to us was “Together we stand, together we fall.” It’s a sentiment that’s been coming back more and more strongly these days. If you’re here, I’m here, and together we’ll persevere.

So, the social media landscape is on shaky ground once again. Or maybe likening it to a sinking ship is more accurate as many people are once again jumping ship. And who can blame them? But with these platforms becoming more and more unreliable, I’ve found the need to make a space for myself right here on my own website where I can keep everyone updated with everything that’s happening in my life and with my business.

So be sure to check this space regularly to hear about upcoming offers and whatever nonsense I get up to in life. Subscribing to my newsletter would be beneficial as well. I do a monthly round-up on there about everything you’re bound to see here.

That’s all for now. I’m kind of excited, actually. The prospect of finding another online space where I can yap has always been exciting. Do not be mislead by my lack of exclamation mark use. Those are bound to come in torrents.
